Wellbeing

At Colaiste Phádraig, student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued and respected.

Wellbeing is promoted across all areas of school life—through our curriculum, pastoral care system, extracurricular activities, and school culture. We encourage students to look after their physical, emotional, mental, and social wellbeing and to seek support when needed.

Our school follows the Wellbeing Framework for Post-Primary Schools, with a focus on key indicators such as resilience, positive relationships, belonging, and engagement.

Supports available include:

  • A caring and approachable staff

  • A dedicated Guidance Department

  • SPHE and Wellbeing classes at Junior Cycle

  • Access to extracurricular activities, clubs, and sports

  • Referral supports where needed

We believe that a strong sense of wellbeing is essential for students to thrive both in school and in life.
