Student Voice and Leadership

At Coláiste Phádraig, we believe that student voice is vital in shaping a positive school environment. We encourage students to take an active role in leadership and decision-making through several key bodies and initiatives:

  • Student Council: Elected representatives from each year group who meet regularly to discuss student concerns, organise events, and work collaboratively with staff to improve school life. The Student Council is the main platform for students to share their ideas and feedback.

  • Student Prefects: Senior students who demonstrate leadership, responsibility, and serve as role models within the school community. Prefects assist with school events, support younger students, and promote a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.

  • Students’ ERST Committee: This committee focuses on the school’s ethos and values, helping to promote a caring, respectful, and welcoming culture aligned with the Education and Training Boards’ mission.

  • Student Surveys: Regular surveys are conducted to gather honest feedback from students about their experiences and opinions on various aspects of school life. This feedback helps guide school policies and initiatives.

We value the contributions of our student leaders and all students who engage in these opportunities. Together, we work to create a school community where everyone’s voice is heard and respected.
