The Importance of Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for students’ learning, progress, and success at school. Being on time and present every day helps students stay connected to their lessons, build good habits, and make the most of their education.

School Day Start: School opens at 8:40 am each day.

Late Arrivals: Students who arrive late must sign in at the school office.

Absences: If a student is absent for any reason, a note must be submitted to the school explaining the absence.

Leaving Early: Students who leave before the end of the day must have a note recorded on Compass by 8:30 a.m. on that day. In the event of an emergency, please get contact the school office. Students must also sign out with the secretary before leaving.

Contacting Home: Students are not permitted to use their phones to contact home without permission. Any necessary contact can be made via the school office or with a teacher’s permission.

If a Student is Unwell: In the event of illness during the school day, the school office will contact home.
Attendance is a major focus for the 2025/2026 school year. We ask parents/guardians to work with us in supporting punctuality and consistent attendance, as it has a significant impact on learning, achievement, and wellbeing.
